Po-Chen Edward Ko is a Taiwanese born Canadian Artist who currently based in Maple Ridge, BC. He attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco and worked as an illustrator and concept artist upon graduation. His illustration has been in multiple international publication notably Spectrum Fantastic Art, as well as being nominated for Chesley Award in the Unpublished Monochrome category.
He became serious in fine art during a visit to Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Seeing the works of William Bouguereau and Rembrandt in person transformed his perception of traditional oil painting. This leads to him travel to many museums across the world studying the works of Sargent, Sorolla, Zorn, Waterhouse, Repin, and many others. All of whom have a profound influence on him artistically. He now dedicates his attention to oil painting and to bring meaningful images from his mind to the canvas.
